World of Light Tanks - WoT Guide

Updated 20/05/2010 (v.0.6.4.0)

Having played World of Tanks extensively during closed beta testing and now after launch, I thought I would come along and start writing up a few guides, starting off with the bane of artillery, the Light Tank.

Review: Cities in Motion

So, you've read my preview. The lure was just too great. Now, here's my review.

Cities In Motion
Developer: Colossal Order Ltd
A simulation game solely based around transporting people and the transport infrastructure sounds a bit like working for the Local Government Transport Planning Department. You pick places where to place your bus/train/tram stops, buy the appropriate method of transport for the area and create routes around the place. It also sounds a bit limited and boring... but you'd be pretty surprised as you will learn below.

My sins will know retribution

"Whether I am victorious or slain, my sins will know retribution." - Gabriel Angelos

A rather fitting line for Gabe to finish off the Chaos-styled trailer for the up and coming standalone expansion pack to the much loved Dawn of War 2 series, Retribution.

Forsaken World: The Vampire and the Bard

Two hybrid classes, much maligned for being too much in the middle and not specialised enough, have been taken for a test drive by myself over the past few days since Phase 1 of closed beta started. I thought I would do a brief writeup of how the classes handle themselves and fit in thus far.

Tank you, World of Tanks :)

Well, it has been awhile since my last post. That is because I was invited to a Closed Beta Test (CBT) of a new and upcoming MMO based around tanks from an era spanning the 1930's to the 1950's called World of Tanks.

Gambling with your life. Fallout: New Vegas

In the beginning of time, man used fire to scare his opponents and steal food, clothing and shelter from his fellow man. As millenia past, man decided to build nuclear bombs and in an alternate timeline we all nuked the shit out of each other. This brings us to the post apocalyptic wasteland and a cheerful series known as Fallout.

FIFA 11 Vs. PES 2011... Clash of the Football (Soccer) Titans

Well it's about the time of year when FIFA and Pro Evolution Soccer (Pro Evo to those who play it religiously) go head to head in the 'oh we have new features that makes us much better than last year' and really all they've done is update the team sheets to reflect the latest transfers. This time around both games are suggesting that there are a lot of new features to be had.

The Grand Opening

Well, it's taken me a while but finally I have organised a nice blog page for ElcomeSoft...

On that note, welcome to ElcomeSoft.

My name is Neil Elcome and I am a young gentleman from the North East of England with a love of technology and games. I've always had an affinity with technology ever since the old ZX Spectrum, games on cassette and the trusty bag of peas to stop it overheating to the Amiga 500/1200 era and now predominately the PC. I even dabble with consoles who are introducing some fabulous and must-have games of late.

So I have decided to create ElcomeSoft... a blog for technology and games.

You will find ElcomeSoft on Facebook and on Twitter on which I will post updates and I have a YouTube channel on which I will be posting some of the best trailers and videos relating to technology.

I hope you all enjoy reading what I have to say... or at least enjoy the videos I post!
